WIN’s Holiday Toy Drive
Every December, WIN's (Westside Infant-Family Network) has a Winter wishes toy drive! When my mom and I arrived, we got a friendly greeting and got to work in giving out toys or giving out groceries. I chose toys and my mom chose groceries. When families started to arrive, they checked in, received a paper and got their photo taken in a winter backdrop before heading over to the toy station. We checked their kids off their paper, and each child got to pick out a toy. After, they got hot chocolate and yummy snacks. They then headed to get groceries, where my mom was. It was a great way to help the community. You can do this program in shifts.

El Nido's Adopt-A-Family Program
El Nido's Adopt-A-Family program is a great way to help families during the holidays. When you adopt a family, you pick out presents for an entire family based on their needs and wishes sheet given to you. I picked out items for them, put them in boxes and delivered them at their storage location. This program can have any age! It is about 1 hour from the Santa Monica area.
